Nou een vriend van mij heeft een Akai VX600...
Die bak wordt echt zoooo ongelofelijk OVERschat !!
Dan is de VX-600 niet de enige synth die overschat wordt. Sommige domme dingen komt men niet over uit waarom ze zo geweldig zijn, maar geweldig zijn ze schijnbaar altijd...

600 euro is aan de hoge kant, maar toch best een normale prijs voor een VX600? Ze liggen niet voor het oprapen. Als ik de centjes had zou ik er wel eentje kopen denk ik, maar ik ben dan ook dol op de analoge akai's (ik heb zelf een AX60 en een AX80). En die VX600 heeft best wat voordelen ten opzichte van andere synths uit de serie, hij is lekker klein en alleen al het feit dat het ding 6 individuele outs heeft (mits je de juiste kabel hebt) maakt het een hebbeding.

Ik ga gewoon af op mijn eigen ervaringen ermee...
Ik bedoel ik heb een Novation Nova en als iemand die zwaar OVERschat vindt, maakt mij dat toch niets uit ????

misschien overbodig,
mijn ax-73 is te gekokdan
ik had hem liever met wat schuifjes gehad, zoals de juno, maar die kille electro-klank
oftewel je wilt eigenlijk de AX-60 die ik een paar weken geleden nog voor een schijntje aanbood...

dit was mijn eerste en enigste akai sampler, ik zag hem toevallig
The S-612 was one of Akai's first professional rack-mount samplers, released back in 1985. Some of its features included 12-bit sampling from 4 to 32kHz with loop and truncate functions, an overdub function and mic or line input jacks. Internal memory is only 128KB which gives a maximum of 8 seconds sampling time at the lowest sampling rate available. An optional disk drive that features the quick disk (QD) 2.8 inch format is needed for permanent storage of samples. Only one sample is stored to each side of the disk.
You won't be able to do much with the S-612 these days. However it bears some classic traits that may still be of interest. It features classic high and low pass filtering and an LFO for modulating and giving your sample an animated edge. It's also fairly simple and straight forward to operate, responds to external triggering and is still very well suited to any MIDI studio applications. It's definitely a limited sampler, but it makes a cheap back-up instrument that may come in handy for lo-fi sounds or triggered effects. It was Future Sound of London's first sampler.
