Anyway I've finished Oxygene 4... I hope You'll like it

I hope the moderator's won't block this thread, since only dutch is allowed. Anyway, some of us know you from your jarre-covers and of coarse your minipops 7 signed by Jarre himself.
Here in holland, you can midify your minipops, did you know ? I've a minipops 7 with midi, trigger and audio outs myself (the first one made).
You've a modified minipops too, don't you. I heard an mp3 of your's with the oxygene 4 rythm were you seem to use seperate audio-outs.
There are a lot of 310-owners over here, you can imagine that

Welcome to this forum. Your Jarre remakes are absolutely amazing. I enjoyed your Oxygene 4 very much. I hope you don't mind I have a little point of critic. In my opinion the timing of the melody is sometimes a little bit wrong. It feels like it's played a little to fast sometimes. But it's extremly close to the original. Excelent work !! I also enjoyed your demonstrations on youtube.
I hope you don't mind asking you a few questions about your Eminent and D50.
First the questions about the Eminent 310. I own a Eminent 310 and a smallstone phaser myself so I have great interest in some of your "tricks".
Watching one of your demonstrions on youtube I saw you playing Oxygene 6.
I tried it on my Eminent and had some problems with it.
On your demonstrations it looks like your playing the entire melody on the Eminent and the phaser. You can clearly hear the melody is much louder then the chords. That's how it suposed to be.
When I play Oxygene 6 on my Eminent the upper and lower keyboard sound about the same in volume. So my chords are just as loud as my melody making my melody hard to recognize. How did you manage to get the melody a lot louder then the chords?
Another question I have is about the delay settings you use for the various Jarre tracks. Ik own a Behringer ddx3216 and a Behringer V-verb pro 2496. I'm trying to get a little fatter smallstone sound. I know Jarre uses a little delay accross the left and right channel, however I can't figure out the exact settings. Somewhere I read you use behringer stuff as well, so maybe you can share your "secrets" with me and the other forum members.
Maybe I did not connect the smallstone in the best way.
I use 1 channel on my ddx3216. The Eminent's head phone out is connected tot this single channel (I combined the stereo to one mono).
The smallstone is connected as an insert effect on the same channel. So how can i create this delay. The phaser is mono, so I'm wondering how to do this.
The last question I have is about your D50. A great synth wich I also own.

It's the last post in the thread. In my bank are a lot of Jarre sounds, but I noticed you have a few more or better ones (especially the revolutions lead). I was hoping you're willing the share your D50 sounds. I'd love to have a few more Jarre sounds.
I saw you're interested in the modifications of the Minipops. I can't tell you how it's done, because I don't know, but one of the members on this forum (Wouw) is selling a few minipops 7's with the modifications. So maybe you can contact him. I bought one myself.

Is jouw 310 wel helemaal in orde ? Bij mijn 310's zijn de stringensemble-sustains op het bovenklavier luider dan het onderklavier. Maar het volume van de 8'en 4' stringensemble-klank op het onderklavier kun je met de schuif opkrikken. De 4'en 8' klank van het onderklavier klinken daardoor, met de schuif omhoog, even luid als de 4'en 8' klank van het bovenklavier. De 4'en 8' klank zijn een stuk luider dan de sustain-sectie.

I'like constructive critics Well I've played the main strings on upper manual only with SUSTAIN
For the mail lead I've used 8' and sustain on lower manual Jean Michel used 2 Revoxes B77 mk2. You can clearly hear it in Equinoxe 1 for example. The first Revox was used to create first echo. The panning was set to right so You can hear Doubling sound in right channell (c' c' g g c c etc). The second revox was used for copying right channell to the left one

I mentioned earlier that your version of Oxygene 2 is a very nice remake
Did you arrange it yourself? Fact is that JMJ played this version at the Water of Life concert
Yes it was arranged by me... In 2006 i think. But soon I'll prepare newer version

btw I saw in another thread that You were talking about Elka X705... JMJ used 2 outputs. The second one [the main lead but later] was played thru some chorus or sth... I've covered La Derniere Rumba, just few hours before I sold my Elka. Recorded in one shot There was no time for choruses etc

Radek asked me to upload my Jarre D50 bank as sysex or mid. Unfortunately after hours of trying I can't make a sysex dump from my D50 to cakewalk, midi-ox or sounddiver. Must be my midi interface I guess.
The only program that works for me is sysex2k which does not save in sysex.
Unfortunately sysex2k cannot be found on the internet anymore (maybe it's there, but I couldn't find it).
Now the good news. I still have a copy of sysex2k on my harddrive and I uploaded it to this link:

Unzip it, iinstall it, start it and load my included Jarre D50 bank (it contains also some other sounds i like).
From within the program you can upload the bank to your D50. Very easy !!
I hope you can share your bank as well. You have some sounds I don't have and I'm also interested in other Jarre sounds on your D50 (like the oxygene 4 things you did). I think my Revolutions machinerun is a little better than yours. (the sound on 1-1). I made a split in in it. The left keyboard has the metalic loop on it, the right part of the keyboard can be used to play the melody.
My Revolutions lead (grittar2) is very close to Jarre's, except from the pitch drop on the end. Do you have a better one?
I'm trying to make three sounds on my D50. Probably not very easy, because they were originaly ade on the ARP2600.
It's the singing female voice type of sound in Oxygene 1, the lead sound of Oxygene 4 and the load base kind of sound in Oxygene 1 and Equinoxy 8. Maybe you know how to make them.
I know I'm asking a lot, but can you also share some of your Arp2600V sounds? I'm just curious to see how you made some Jarre sounds and like to learn some things from it.

Ik merk dat ik meer en meer begin te doen met mijn Eminent. Ik voel me ook behoorlijk stom, want de volumes op het boven en onder klavier zijn gewoon in orde. Ik had er geen moment bij stil gestaan dat ik het bovenklavier zachter kan laten klinken door ALLEEN de sust knop te gebruiken op het stringensemble. Soms zijn dingen zo simpel dat je ze over het hoofd ziet.
Binnenkort krijg ik hopelijk de Minipops 7 in mijn bezit die ik van Wouw heb gekocht.
Om het setje compleet te maken heb ik afgelopen zaterdag ook nog maar een EH electric mistress deluxe gekocht. Ik weet niet wat er zo "deluxe" aan is overigens. Hij is volgens mij klankmatig hetzelfde als het oude model (hoop ik).
Ik heb natuurlijk geprobeerd Oxygene 5 te spelen. Lukt ook heel aardig, maar toch klinkt het bij Jarre wat voller.
Is er ook hier sprake van een delay truc of zo? Wat doet Jarre precies?
Wat me wel opvalt bij de Mistress is dat ie behoorlijk ruist en dat je al heel snel de lfo golf op de achtergrond begint te horen. Ook als je niet speelt. Welke instellingen gebruiken jullie voor de mistress? Welke orgel registers gebruik ik voor Oxygene 5?
